Koko Rose Media Signs Digital Publishing Deal for ‘Deer Little Forest’

Interactive specialist AmayaSoft to create digital book apps for Chinese, Russian and Turkish markets in multi-territory deal.

LONDON -- Koko Rose Media, brand manager for Jo Rose’s Deer Little Forest, has entered an agreement with interactive book app specialist AmayaSoft to create a series of English learning products for the Russian, Chinese and Turkish markets. Based in Cyprus, AmayaSoft is a leading educational apps and interactive book technology company with its own proprietary app creation technology MyBookTools, digital bookstores and global distribution across major platforms including iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.

“We’ve built up expertise in developing interactive books and educational apps for children. We understand that great content plays a significant role in creating a high-quality application,” said founder AmayaSoft Bakhram Fayzutdinov. “We found exactly what we needed in Deer Little Forest -- unique characters and original illustrations created by Jo Rose. This is how we came up with the idea of working together with Koko Rose Media and developing children’s educational application based on the Deer Little Forest brand. We are certain that we will succeed in creating an excellent product that will undoubtedly be enjoyed by both small users and their parents.”

“We are delighted to partner with AmayaSoft,” added Lisa Hryniewicz, managing director of Koko Rose Media. “The quality of their products and the ingenuity of their designs is a perfect fit for our brand values, which strive to reach both child and parent with our original content and intrinsic value. AmayaSoft’ vast experience and established distribution channel will surely help Deer Little Forest teach English to a LOT of kids!”

Founded in 2009, AmayaSoft is a maverick interactive digital book company, which produces digital textbooks, educational materials, interactive cartoons, 3D interactive pop-up books, and books with Augmented Reality components. The company boasts a MyBookTools proprietary technology that allows it to create interactive books and apps including Augmented Reality in a much quicker and more economic model than the industry norm, while still maintaining an excellent standard of quality.

Deer Little Forest is an Arts & Lifestyle brand created by Jo Rose, with a (brand-new to BLE) 78-page Style Guide, featuring dozens of animals icons, patterns, poses and more. The brand is represented by agents in 29 countries, most recently THIS IS IRIS in the U.K. and Ireland, who is currently pursuing discussions across stationary, gardening, baby and gift categories. The high-end property, featuring an original collection of animals and woodland designs, has been licensed across stationary, housewares, digital games and magazines. An ambitious publishing plan is underway, with a picture book being developed in partnership with Ingrid Selberg (former managing director, Simon & Schuster) and Margaret Hope (former Art Director at Random House, Simon & Schuster and the BBC).

Brokered by Koko Rose Media’s Russian Agent Maria Tkachenko (Icon Licensing), the deal is the first of several publishing deals in negotiation for the Deer Little Forest Early Learning and Baby Book concepts successfully launched at the 2017 Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

All Deer Little Forest rights are held by Koko Rose Media, a joint venture Hryniewicz and Rose. Licensing agents include This is Iris (U.K., Ireland); Brand Licensing by Burda (Germany and GST); Icon Company (Russia, CIS); and Empire Multimedia (China, South Korea, South East Asia).
