Award-winning actor John Lithgow previously confirmed his casting as Headmaster Albus Dumbledore.

HBO has yet to confirm Frost’s casting as well as McTeer and Essiedu’s participation in the series.

However, Frost recently penned a cryptic post on Instagram that seemingly hinted at his rumored casting as the Keeper of the Keys at the Wizarding school.

“What a bloody lovely day! It’s happening, it’s actually happening. Stay cool,” he wrote on March 20.

Meanwhile, Frost is known for his role in the “Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, which includes the films “Shaun of the Dead,” “Hot Fuzz” and “The World’s End.”

In January last year, Frost was announced to play Gobber the Belch in the live-action remake of “How to Train Your Dragon.”

The “Harry Potter” series is targeting a late 2026 or early 2027 release and is expected to have seven seasons, adapting all the seven books by J.K. Rowling.

Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod, who worked on the award-winning family drama “Succession,” will serve as writer and director, respectively.
