Matilda the Musical is coming to Birmingham Hippodrome - how to get tickets
The multi award-winning musical is returning to Birmingham as part of its 2025/26 tour
Birmingham Hippodrome has announced that Matilda the Musical is coming to Brum.
The multi-award winning musical is going back on tour across the UK and Ireland from October 2025 - and that includes a stop at Birmingham Hippodrome.
Based on the Roald Dahl classic, it tells the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

It has been 15 years since it opened at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon and the musical was a sell-out success when the Royal Shakespeare Company first toured it in 2018/19.
Since then, it has been performed in 100 cities across 17 countries worldwide, won more than 100 international awards, including 24 for Best Musical, and delighted over 12 million audiences worldwide.
A ‘unique and unforgettable’ global phenomenon, according to Rolling Stone magazine Matilda will be returning to Birmingham Hippodrome from Wednesday July 1 to Sunday August 2. Tickets are set to go on sale later this month.
A spokesman for Birmingham Hippodrome posted on X: "Maggots, it's time to be REVOLTING! Matilda The Musical is returning to the Hippodrome in 2026.
"The global phenomenon is here from Wed 1 Jul - Sun 2 Aug 2026. Tickets on sale soon."
