I Am Somebody Special

Author Writes About the Beauty of Being Special

HOLLYWOOD, FL, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Did you ever feel like you were different from everyone else? And that being special was a bad thing?

Jennifer Monroy pens I Am Somebody Special, a children's book that is very close to her heart. It introduces Penelope the Polar Bear, a unique character that will touch the heart of the younger crowd. The story begins when Penelope the Polar Bear enters the neighborhood and finds it hard to make new friends at school. Having a unique appearance, she finds it difficult as she tries to fit in, as the other kids treat her in a different way. She encounters challenges as nobody wants to know who she really is, nobody wants to be her friend. One day, a sweet surprise comes for Penelope when she finally meets her extra special friends and together, they all make each other realize their worth. They find encouragement from one another as they realize it is perfectly alright being different from everyone else.

I Am Somebody Special by Jenny Foor conveys an important message that being different is a brave act in being one’s true self. Being special is beautiful and a person’s ability to gain acceptance for who she is what makes her shine. The story is supplemented with lovely illustrations and it is meant to stay in the hearts of the younger crowd for a long time –you are special just the way you are!

About the Author:
Jenn Monroy a.k.a. "Jenny Foor" is a Florida native who graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology. My heart and soul belongs to children of all ages and backgrounds. My greatest wish is for children to be liked and loved by their peers and those who care for them for who they are on the inside and for what they bring to this world. Physical traits should not matter and children should be encouraged by the community to be proud of where they come from and be proud of any "special" traits they have. All children deserve the opportunity to shine and rise to the top of their class and be friends with whomever they wish. If in the end that person chooses not to be their friend then that is their loss, but each child in this world needs to be proud of the "special" person they are! God made each of us just the way we are for a specific reason! May God bless each and every one of you... young and old and always remember ... I Am Somebody Special!
