WASHINGTON (KUMV) - The U.S. House successfully passed a foreign aid bill over the weekend with North Dakota and Montana’s representatives against the move.

The final vote was 311 to 112 for a $95 billion package to go out to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

Rep. Matt Rosendale, R-MT, called it an “America Last” piece of legislation, saying he couldn’t support it because it provides about $9 billion in humanitarian aid for Gaza and offers no aid for the U.S. southern border.

“This is the type of contradictions we are seeing every single day, and I can not vote to support any of it,” said Rosendale.

Rep. Kelly Armstrong, R-ND, also voted no. A statement on his vote was not given.

The bill now moves to the Democrat-controlled Senate.

President Joe Biden saaid he wants it passed quickly.
